Drinkable aloe vera gel is popular in Pakistan and there is a lot of nonsense written about it. This guide sticks to what can honestly be said.

What it actually is

Forever Aloe Vera Gel is 99.7% inner leaf aloe vera gel, with vitamin C added. The inner leaf is the clear part inside the leaf, not the whole plant.

It is a food supplement. It is not a medicine, and it is not meant to treat, prevent or cure any illness. Anybody telling you otherwise is selling you something.

What can honestly be said about it

The claims that can be made are about the vitamin C that has been added to it:

• Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
• Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin.
• Vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

That is the honest list. It is shorter than what you will read elsewhere, and that is the point.

How to drink it

• Shake the bottle first - the thick part settles at the bottom.
• About 120 ml, once or twice a day.
• Many people take it in the morning before food.
• Drink it cold. Warm aloe is unpleasant.
• After opening, keep it in the fridge and finish it in about 30 days.

It tastes bitter. Is that normal?
